Christams Decor - Christmas Home Tour

Hello all! After a crazy and hectic last week, I was finally able to get some holiday pictures of the inside of our home. This year I did not decorate the front porch. I only have the Christmas wreath on the front door. Lets go inside.

Welcome!

Foyer

 Please make yourself at home.

Staircase Curve

I have had the satin nickel picture frame for a while. The matte was white and I spray painted it claret wine, by Rustoleum. The sign reads...

I purchased all the snowflakes on the wrought iron balusters at the Dollar Tree. The snowflakes came in packs of three. Because the glitter on the snowflakes reflected rainbow hues, I spray painted them white and covered the with white glitter. I think I did a total of 40 snowflakes! I used leftover red ribbon and silver bells from the paper mache snow reindeer makeover and wrapped the center knot on the wrought iron scrolls and glued on a silver bell.

Lets go upstairs. I hope you like the view.

Lets go back downstairs and I can show you what I did with the Christmas songs subway art.

I had it enlarged to a 16x20. The above picture is slightly blurred. The actual subway art is not. The mirrored frame I picked up at Target. The two small trees I picked up at the local thrift store for $2.00 each. The pots were unfinished metal and I spray painted them claret wine, by Rusoleum. The Peace sign I found at Michaels for a $1.99 and spray painted it claret wine, by Rusoleum.

Make yourself comfortable. Have a seat and relax. Please do not ride the reindeer. ;)

Living room
As you can see, there is the glass cylinder on the coffee table, that I decorated a few weeks back.

If you look up, you can see the overlook.

For those still standing, feel free to have a seat on the couch. I will be back with some hot cocoa.

Hope you have enjoyed the Christmas Home tour. Thank you for visiting. Cheers! :)

  1. I can say that living inside a magazine for the holidays is hard work but it makes the hot chocolate SOOOOO tasty!!

    You do beautiful work! :)

  2. Your home looks stunning, I have always dreamed of a staircase such as yours so I could decorate it at Christmas. Unfortunately I have a one story cottage so no such luck and my 8 foot tree is still packed away as since I moved to my little cottage I have such a lack of space for Christmas decorations. However, I still have a mantel to decorate which is so important to me.

I love your tree and mantel it all looks wonderful. I have hopped over from The Dedicated House.

    1. Thank you so very much! I dreamed of this staircase, as well. We recently moved in to our home, so it is the first time decorating it. I bet your mantel looks great (going to stop by)! I am glad we were able to build a mantel in time for Christmas stockings.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and post such a wonderful comment. It is genuinely appreciated! :)

  3. Can I say this out loud?! I am totally having house envy right now!! Like bad! Your floors and staircase are making me drool. Oh and so is your perfect Christmas tree, and your gorgeous homemade decor.

And thank you so much for always leaving comments on my blog! Sometimes bogging can be draining in the sense that you spend so much time doing it, and never really know if anyone is actually reading it, or even enjoying it! So thank you for making me smile every time I get an email telling me I have a comment. :) They mean more to me than you know!

    1. Yay! That makes me so happy to know that you enjoy the comments. I enjoy seeing your daily pictures and hearing about how you discovered something new with your camera or photoshop. My husband loves to try different things with his camera and my daughter is amazing with photoshop. I cheat and use picmonkey. lol ;)

Thank you so much for the lovely comment. You made me laugh. Decorating the staircase was fun. However, cleaning the balusters (have not been cleaned since March) was not fun. Dust very much sticks to wrought irons textured surface. I ended up using Pledge and a black microfiber cloth. The cleaning took a while. lol

Again, thank you so much for your comment. :)

  4. You have a beautiful home. Simple but elegant, much better than the way over the top houses I have seen at Christmas!
